Ruth Cohen holds BSc(Hons) degree in Psychology, an MSc in Health Psychology,
an MSc in Counselling Psychology, Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
from The Institute of Psychiatry, King's College, University of London.

Ruth approaches her work creatively and uses a biopsychosocial holistic model together with a collaborative,
warm, client-centred, empathic style. She provides Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy (CBT), EMDR,
Cognitive Behavioural Coaching (CBC), assessments, consultations and clinical supervision.
Her clients are referred by psychiatrists, GPs, other healthcare professionals, insurance, organisations, employers,
nationwide healthcare providers, solicitors, and self-referred. Ruth Cohen accepts referrals of clients and patients
who come from all walks of life, nationalities, religious and races.
Ruth Cohen had been in private practice since 1995. Between 1998 and 2008 she also provided Cognitive Behavioural
Psychotherapy and other psychological interventions to NHS patients in Adult Mental Health and Primary Care settings.
She gained extensive experience and skills in providing consultations, assessments and clinical supervision and in
treating people who present a wide range of mental health and physical health difficulties.
She held a position as an Honorary Research Fellow at the London Royal Homeopathic Hospital where she researched
health beliefs in chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS). She acted for five years as an External Moderator of MSc programs
in CBT and Counselling Psychology at the University of Derby. She is also a Founder Member of the British Psychological
Society Special Group in Coaching Psychology.
